Saint Albert Sprinters Set School Record![]() Congratulations to Jake Gentile, Rick Romano, Matt Butcher and Ryan Zajic for setting a new school record for the 400 M Relay at the state competition earlier this year. The boys ran the race in 43.76 seconds, beating the previous school record that has stood since 1984. The boys added their names to the track record board on Wednesday morning. Queen of Apostles Parish is hosting a going away party for Fr. Lazarus Kirigia on Tuesday, July 7. The celebration will include a Mass at 5:30 p.m., followed by a potluck dinner in the parish hall. Fr. Lazarus has celebrated Mass and assisted with religious instruction at the Saint Albert Elementary during his stay in Council Bluffs. He has been re-assigned to Sacred Heart Parish in Des Moines. Please attend to wish Fr. Lazarus well on his new assignment. 7th Grade All-Stars![]() Congratulations to Saint Albert 7th Graders Nick Golwitzer, Tony Rew and Eric Johnson for being selected to play in the Parochial Athletic League All-Star baseball game. Coaches Bill Nettles Sr. and Bill Nettles Jr. were selected to coach the All-Stars because their Saint Albert team had the best record in the league. Great job, guys! Keep of the good work. Help Wanted: Job Openings at Saint AlbertThe Sheryl K. Johnson Early Childhood Development Center at Saint Albert is now accepting applications for child care associates. An associate degree in early childhood development is preferred, but we will train the right person. Applicants must be able to lift 40 lbs and be first aid/CPR certified. The position is for 20-30 hours per week beginning on Aug. 10.
