If you would like to purchase a March Madness Raffle ticket for $10, contact the Business Office, school offices or any student. ![]() There will be a PAL softball registration meeting for 5th, 6th, and 7th graders on Tuesday, March 16, in the High School Cafeteria from 6 to 7 P.M. Show Choir Spectacular on March 16![]() Join Saint Albert's SoundSations and more than 200 other students from Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, Lewis Central, Kirn and Wilson for our Show Choir Spectacular on Tuesday, March 16, at 7 p.m. in the Main Gym. The cost is $5 for adults, $3 for students, and a family maximum of $15. If you can't attend the Show Choir Spectacular, try this event: On Tuesday, March 23, the Council Bluffs All City Vocal Festival will be held at Thomas Jefferson. More than 500 students from all of the Council Bluffs High Schools and Junior Highs will be participating. The event is held all day, concluding with an evening concert at 7:30 p.m. in the Thomas Jefferson Field House. Guest directors are Kate Roberts for the Junior High and David Sackschewsky for the High School Choir. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. More than 120 students from Saint Albert will be performing in these two events. Stop by for two evenings of fantastic entertainment in support of the Fine Arts Department. The High School girls' basketball banquet will be held on Sunday, March 21, at 5 p.m. in the Saint Albert Cafeteria. All players and their families are invited to attend. The cost is $10 per person. In addition, Freshmen and Senior players should bring a dessert to share. Sophomore and Junior players should bring drinks. Save the date! The High School boys' basketball banquet will be held on Sunday, March 28, at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria. All boys basketball players in grades 9-12 and their families are invited to attend. Invention Convention City Winners![]() Congratulations to Saint Albert 4th graders Lorna Puhl and Alan Powers-Wettestad for being selected as winners in the city-wide Invention Convention last Saturday. Lorna's and Alan's invention "Sponge Gloves" was among 30 inventions that will advance to the state "Invent Iowa" competition in Iowa City on April 24. More than 110 inventions were included in the city competition. Best of luck to Lorna and Alan! Youth Baseball League RegistrationSaint Albert is once again sponsoring a machine- and coach-pitch baseball league for boys and girls in PreK through 3rd grades (must be registered SA students, minimum age of 4). Practices will be held on Saturday mornings at Bahsen Park from May 1-15 and games will be played May 22-June 19. Saint Albert Students Art Display at The CenterThe artwork of 20 student artists from Saint Albert is now on display at The Center, located on Main Street in Council Bluffs. The artwork will be on display until March 31. Stop by and enjoy the artistic talents of our students. The Sheryl K. Johnson Child Care Center at Saint Albert is looking for infant caregivers to work in the afternoons. Applicants must be patient, energetic and love children. Catholic Daughters Contest Winners AnnouncedMore than 50 students from Saint Albert were selected as winners in the city-wide Catholic Daughter Contest. The Strategic Planning Committee at Saint Albert is issuing a challenge to our parents to help us sell memberships to the 300 Club. The challenge is simple -- the person who sells the most memberships will receive $2,500 off their tuition! It's time to sign up for an Auction shift! Each year, parents of the Junior Class are required to work a shift to support the Saint Albert Benefit Auction. In return, the Junior Class receives a stipend to help fund post-prom activities. A variety of shifts and volunteer opportunities are available during the Auction, as well as the day prior and after the event.
