Ranks



Scout:

This is the first of the seven ranks in Boy Scouts. This introduces the new scouts to the routines and skills needed to progress to the next level.



Tenderfoot:

This is the next rank in the Boy Scout. This rank continues to teach the new scouts the skills they need.


Tenderfoot Badge

Second Class:

This is the third rank available and is the last rank that prepares a Scout for the higher levels of the BSA. This rank focuses on honing your skills and preparing you to be a leader in your troop.


Second Class Badge

First Class:

This rank is the midway point in Boy Scouts and is as far as some scouts get. This is the first of the four higher ranks and is focused on working toward your goal of becoming an Eagle.


First Class Badge

Star:

This is the second higher rank in the Boy Scouts. This rank is sometimes the highest that a Boy Scout gets if they start to give up. This rank however can help you continue your quest for the Eagle rank if desired.


Star Badge

Life:

This is the third highest rank in the Boy Scouts and is usually as high a Scout will get. This rank helps to prepare you for the next rank, Eagle.


Life Badge

Eagle

This is the highest rank available to a Boy Scout. This rank however must be earned before you turn 18 years old. This is the most dificult rank to earn and prepares you for your life in the world.

Troop 520


Troop 520 consists of approximately 24 boys. This troop is led by the Senior Patrol Leader and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader. They are all supervised by the Scout Master and Assistant Scout Master (see contact information for current leaders).

Two Patrols make up Troop 520. The first is the Cyclones Patrol made up of those below the rank of first class. The second is the Senior Patrol formally known as the Owls this is for those who rank over first class.
